Vinters Valley Nature Reserve

Some productive bracket faffing this morning go while Susan was doing her Friday clean. I successfully repaired a snapped bracket holding an under cabinet light in the kitchen and repaired two snapped brackets on my mudguards so I no longer get sprayed with mud and water as I cycle around.

I also applied for Carers Allowance for Susan to which it seems she’s entitled given the time he spends caring for her mother.

We managed a walk this afternoon before Susan went back up to her mum’s for her regular Friday visit. We called in at Vinters Park Nature Reserve which, while not one of our favourite places to walk, is better than walking along busy roads and also had the benefit of providing today’s blip.


Dinner was ready when she got back. We’d just finished dinner when her evening carer rang to say she’d broken down and couldn’t get there. Susan has had to go up and put her mum to bed.

It’s now a full on three days with Doreen with various appointments sandwiched either side of Mothers Day.
