Socially distant

A fitful night for me, still awake at 1, then again at 3 but must have gone off after that as I woke up at 8, hub had sorted Jean out himself :-0 we were up pretty sharpish, downstairs by 9.30, breakfast done and dusted as we had a video call booked at 11......which went to plan, after a few technical hitches :-/ We have decided to keep our car for the time being.

Once that was put to bed we took ourselves off for a much needed coffee.....the weather has been much better today than forecast, well for most of the day ;-). Hub had a large coffee, which kept him going whilst I dashed off for a quick circuit around the outskirts of town.

We were back home just after 1, hub had a small M&S pizza for his lunch, I had a roast beef & mustard sandwich with a cuppa soup.

Most of the afternoon was taken up with phone calls and admin stuff. 3 letters arrived in the post, together with two new jigsaws and two new books. Each letter needed a phone call, plus I had to follow up on the ticket refund saga, the travel insurance renewal and a couple of emails were needed too. After an hour or so, most things have been either resolved or moved forward at least.

At 4.30 I decided the time was right to get out to complete my steps for the day. Todays blip was taken about 15 minutes after I left in lovely sunshine.....although there were dark skies in the distance! I didnt intend to do this whole route, but the footpath I was going to take was literally mud after all the rain overnight so had to divert to drier land, even so my red boots were anything but red by the time I got home! I almost made it but was 15 minutes out when the rain started, combined with the wind it was coming across the field almost horizontally!!! Luckily I had a decent waterproof coat on, with a good hood, which protected me well, but no idea what I looked like, probably unrecognisable thankfully lol! Easily topped my steps target today, as you can see in extras :-)

Sorry to be a bore, please click the link below if you are able to support my walking challenge in support of Cancer Research and as always many thanks to you wonderful blipmates who have already done so <3

Once I had got changed and dried out I relaxed for half an hour, made a cuppa, hub had made a start sorting the straight edges out to one of the new jigsaws ;-)

Dinner tonight was grilled gammon with fresh pineapple, fried egg, tomato & courgette ribbons for me, baked beans for hub.

We now have the radiotherapy information we have been waiting for, so some reading to be done before hub decides. He then needs to make his next treatment appointments, as we are coming to the end of our nice break :-/

We are currently watching Golf.......luckily we are both sports fans as there is little else on! My team gave away a late goal it seems, so drew in their first leg v AC Milan...... dopes!!!

Tomorrow looks really wet again....so my steps will be a challenge, again!!

Hope youre all keeping well and safe out there?!
