Day 10

In the weeks and months of dull, uneventful days of lockdown today stood out as being quite full-on!
I was up earlier than I have been for months so I could meet Dad for a coffee on a bench after he’d dropped Mum off at hospital. He was quite scared so I think / hope the meet up helped. It was also TB’s first day back at school, so back to that routine - hoping he gets better at remembering his tablet as I can’t cope with that stress again!
After I left Dad I decided to go for my mid-week run. I was tempted to leave it as my knees had been painful Tuesday evening however they didn’t feel too bad so gave it a go... ooph, maybe a mistake! I was in so much pain when I got back, immediately took 2 painkillers and sat in a hot bath for a while. Took about 2 hours before the pain in my legs subsided but after that I felt ok again - not sure what that was about but I’m having a rest day tomorrow!
The rest of the day was spent phone watching as I awaited news from the hospital and distracting myself with my crochet project for MB. Finally got news that Mum was out of surgery and doing well just after 4.30pm - such a relief. She was home at 8.30pm. Dad’s going to have to step up with the cooking for a while!
It was then online parents evening for TB - the feedback was as expected. He’s doing ok but mostly coasting, he could do so much better. He just has no motivation, I hope that improves now he’s back at school.
