The Theatre of Dreams
My 60th Birthday present from Tess: my first trip to see Man Utd at Old Trafford! As you can see, our seats were just 5 rows back from the touchline so we were really close to the action. Here, Norwich's Robert Snodgrass (one of Tess's favourite footballer's because of his name!) is surrounded by Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra, while Anderson and Micael Carrick look on.
It was a fantastic experience, with Utd running out eventual 4 - 0 winners thanks to a hat-trick from Shinji Kagawa and a Rooney classic from 25 yards.
In the morning we saw some of LS Lowry's paintings in the gallery featured in yesterday's blip. I've always loved his work and was particularly taken with "Going to the Match 1953" which seemed to suit the occasion, especially as it was painted in the year I was born. Then we sat by the Quays with a pint before the game
To complete the perfect day, Yeovil also won, 1 -0 at home to Tranmere!
