Schooled

So good to be in school again today, this time able to catch up with some of the young people that we see in various activities which we run. It's quite amusing to see Year 11 boys swagger into the hall only to leave with tears streaming down their faces after having to stick a swab up their noses. 'I've hit my brains' was probably the most common complaint. 

After school we had our team meeting in the garden at Becci's new house in Pontesbury which was a delight. She'd promised pizza and so Ellie and I spent the morning guessing what kind of hipster ingredients would be on top. I can't even remember what we guessed or whether we were right (feta?), but I do now know that Becci has a kettle which you can set to a particular temperature. Hipster status renewed. Becci plans to foster in the future so it was nice to imagine the place with kids running around in it. I also got some lovely gifts: an epic scarf from B and some lush beer from E.

I succumbed (succame?!) to watching that interview tonight. I shall refrain from commenting because heaven knows, nobody needs to hear another opinion about it. I did fall asleep while watching TV this evening which I can only put down to two days on my feet instead of two days at a desk.
