Venice

This is one of the paintings I collected today from yesterday's auction. The scene is from Venice, and this is Palazzo Priuli. Painted in the early '70s by Ingrid Erns, I am currently researching her art works for a book I am writing on her life and art.

I asked the auctioneer to ask the vendor on my behalf if I could interview her regarding her former Erns collection, and she has agreed to meet me next week. So far my research has been going on for the past 2 years and I have more interviews to go.

It is my opinion that Ingrids series of paintings on Venice are her best work. She was also a brilliant portrait painter.
