Giddy Up
We were in bed by 9.45 last night, slept pretty well, must have had best part of 10 hours overall! switched Jean off at 4.30, awake 8.30..... full blown tea and breakfast in bed this morning, once I had got up and gone down to make it and bring it back up on a tray lol!
We went out as is normal these days, coffee in the car, then hub came with me to the bakery, sat outside and waited as there way a queue.
Then to the butchers.....and then back to the car. Probably 1500 steps plus, which he managed really well, even the inclines.
We stopped off at daughters on our way back home to pick up a piece of gammon she had got for me from Morrisons......a quick catch up and I have to admit I did nip to her downstairs loo, I was desparate!
Back home for a late lunch.....Last of the turkey, in a fresh roll with cranberry, really tasty. Just as we finished, hubs nurse rang. He had a lengthy chat with her about a couple of things that had been niggling him, she put his mind at ease....nothing she was concerned about, happy not to see us until 22nd. She is going to chase up Radiotherapy colleagues as their promised letter and information hasnt materialised post telephone conversations that took place over a week ago.
I took myself off out to get in the bulk of my steps for today, decided to walk a route that I ran a few times last year. It passes the far end of Haydock Racecourse......which is where I saw this handsome horsey. There were two of them but the other one disappeared around the back of the trees. They definitely werent there last time I passed this way, it was a nice surprise to come upon them.
As I got home hub was on the phone, chatting to our GPs Practice Manager, they have an affinity as they share similar health issues so find it easy to talk to each other....its good for both of them I think, well there conversation lasted 55 minutes anyhow ;-)
Hub decided on lemon pepper chicken fillets for dinner this evening, with baked beans and french fries, I had jacket potato woth mine.
Followed by a small pie e of cherry pie with custard :-)
Weve just taken part in an on line quiz with friends via zoom, which was fun....we were leading a lot of the time, but were pipped into second place.
Time for a hot drink now before bed.....hubs just put the kettle on ;-)
We will need an alarm call tomorrow as the respiratory nurse is due at 10.30..... just to make sure we are up and ready of course.
We are already sick to the back teeth of hearing about said interview, despite having not watched it......!!!
Todays steps total in extras, and themlink below,if,you would like to make a donation in support, thank you xx
