Spark
Following a frantic few working days, it was nice to have the opportunity to draw breath today.
A cup of tea in bed whilst finishing off the Tim Key book was a welcome chucklesome start to the day. I really cannot recommend it highly enough. A collection of dialogue interspersed with poetry (or vice versa) and all set inside a flat throughout Lockdown The First.
It made for far more innocent and enjoyable reading than the headlines shouting about the Harry/Meghan/The Firm saga. I don’t know or care enough about it all to really add much to the discourse, but regardless of whose side you come down on (if indeed anyone’s): trial by media seems an odd choice. No winners there. Families, eh?
Fortunately, a few hours in insurance soon takes the drama out of most things as once again I had occasion to apologise for the industry’s failings throughout the pandemic. That is one particular insurance puzzle that even with my AHEM years of experience in the business I can’t solve.
I took a walk at the close of play and headed to Booths for some orange juice, two bottles of Wainwright and some mini eggs, y’know: the essentials.
Very bored at present and in dire need of a spark and some mischief to fall into………but will probably just pick up another book instead and live vicariously through that.
Stay healthy.
