Let Sleeping Bags Lie

Straight up to the allotment this morning - the compost was being delivered. Ten 50litre bags of Organic Farmyard Manure for general digging in and two of Ericaceous Mulch for the blueberries. Took me six wheelbarrow trips from one side of Inverleith allotments to the other and I was pretty done in by the final wheeling. All in a good cause though, the future is veg!
First up was the newly dug over raspberry bed which got a good manuring before I battered in some trellis supports and planted the new canes (Extra). Once they’ve taken they’ll get a mulching then it’s fingers crossed for a decent berry crop. Hadn’t long finished when JacktheLad swung past for a natter. Face to face, wow! He departed with a wee bag of dirt for rehousing a pot plant - hope it survives the change.
