Saving the birds

A sparrow hit the plate glass on the Sun Room yesterday and died.  How to preserve the pane of glass,  the view but not to kill the birds that we are so diligently feeding.  I went to the local garden centre and bought a magnolia suited for a pot, a new variety called off-puttingly a Fairy Magnolia,  evergreen with small creamy white flowers that I hope can break up the picture.  I have also got some translucent stickers of birds and am hoping I don’t have to go for a big black hawk decal which might scare them away from the garden all together.  And which, let’s face,  it will look hideous.
