Supermarket roses and madeira vine
The rose is a rose. The madeira vine is plucked from a neighbour's fence. Native to South America, in Australia it's a weed of national significance. It reproduces through thousands of underground tubers, and bulbils along the stems which fall to the ground. The tubers and the bulbils can remain viable for many years, making control very difficult. On the plus side, madeira vine has edible parts and medicinal uses.
The extra is an azalea growing at home. It has obligingly popped open in time for the MM challenge. Note the camera hogging ant.
Thanks for hosting Trisharooni. Stay well all.
