Sunday at the Beach

It was tempting to take a day off today and lounge by the fire, pet my cat and catch up on my reading, but the sun was shining and that was enough to get me out of the house. There was a new place with walking paths that I had been wanting to check out, so today looked like a good day to do that. The first trail I started out on was icy to say the least (see extra - The Path Not Taken) and the others went through woods and marshes that were quite colourless right now. It will be a great place to go later when spring arrives, but today, it just didn't appeal. So, I returned to Lakeview Park nearby to do some easy walking on paved paths and to gaze out at the lake and dream of summer.
