Between fen and mountains

A fine clock

This is the only repair I have done in the last few months. A friend delivered it to me the other day and I partially dismantled it and was able to return it to working order. She was quite lucky I could do the job as I do not have a full range of tools here and lack the loupes and magnification required for very close work.
I got up early and was down at the hospital at 8 am to make sure I got a ticket for the few vaccinations available. The organisation was a little haphazard but it went smoothly. I should be able to get a second dose from the chemist or the doctor sometime in April. The only blemish on the whole procedure was the fact that the computer refused to accept Mrs TT‘s provisional Social Security number and so she has no proof of having had the vaccination which will be needed for a second dose and possibly a vaccine passport in the future. Given that the Social Security have not managed to give her the definitive health number and health card in the last eight months, she is a bit concerned that they will not sort this out either.
