Wild Daffodils

This morning, In an area of woodland close to the River Plym I found these daffodils.  Planted or escaped garden varieties are a common sight at the moment, but these were the wild variety. Growing in the dappled shade of an ancient woodland they were relatively short compared to the common garden variety. They formed clumps carpeting the ground and had narrow grey/green leaves. Another distinguishing feature of wild daffodils is that they have pale yellow tepals surrounding the darker trumpet.
