Marketplace
What a day. After yesterday's ordeal, I wasn't feeling too confident about my car battery. I called AutoZone and was finally told the battery couldn't hold a charge. I stepped inside (an employee and a customer had their masks down and not covering their mouths and noses, so I am paranoid again) and bought a new battery of the same type. I drove Jill's car home, installed the battery and started the car.
It worked! The car's fine! Yay! That was my first time ever doing any car maintenance myself. Well, other than changing the windshield wiper blades. To calibrate it, I drove to an organic market in Bedford, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles (50 km) away. Jill had a friend talk about it a day or two ago and saw that it has interesting foods.
I bought ice cream, mushroom jerky (really!), dragonfruit drink (Jill likes dragonfruit), bean chips and a stick of pepperoni. Nothing too wild except the mushroom jerky. It's delicious.
I wore a KN-95 mask in both stores. In Bedford, only the two employees were there. But I am still scared. This virus is still around, and few people are vaccinated. I am lowest on the priority list to be vaccinated.
Bedford is a neat town. Next time we go, I'll have to get a more interesting picture. There's a river near the market, or a building that was a tavern in the late 18th century.
