When in Sweden, do as the Swedes do.

Well, purchase the rolling pin for making the crispbreads anyway. I bought the rolling pin 45 years ago, when I was living & working there, still have'nt got around to putting it through it's paces, mind now I'm browsing crispbread recipes it could just be a rainy day exercise. A suitable subject for today's Wide Wednesday challenge set by RSDPhotography. Rain stopped play outside.
First job of the day, nip up to the plot, gather some empty planters together for the Pre-school Playgroup in Chudleigh. Gave them a quick wash. Had a flash of inspiration. I still had a wheelbarrow of chipped bark, so I bagged it up and put it in the boot of the car while it was dry. They will go on the back border to make a path. Dropped the pots off then nipped to the Coop, picked up some bits for Mum, dropped by the Community Fridge, grabbed a couple of leeks, & carrots for Mum. Next stop CK. Indie was ready to go, the forecast was rain later, but not long after we set off it started. I did the Warwick's  loop, country lanes only, giving the heath & deer population a break. The rain eased until midway then the heavens opened. It was only rain not cold, I had my jacket so only my legs got wet. Indie zigzagging down the lane checking out the wildlife crossings. Typical Springer ... she has a very acute sense of smell.
Arrived back at Mum's at 11am. Just getting stuck into to our Danish pastries when GinJan arrived at the front door. Good job I bought 3 this morning. I was surprised she turned up with weather being dodgy. We kept socially distanced over a catch up. Mum's haircut postponed until the weekend. I was planning to mooch around looking for some suitable Patterns & Repetitions but with the rain lashing down I headed straight home. I faffed around a bit this afternoon, checked my e.mails while listening to the John Butler Trio.  A knock at the front door. It was Jasper & his mum delivering slices of his Minions birthday cake, made by Mum. He thanked me for his card & money. He's such a sweet little chap. I offered Hayley the Blue tit Bird Box camera set up. I think it was a gift to Mum & Dad from my brother but they never got around to fitting it up, so before putting it in the charity bag I thought of Jasper. Hayley thought it was a great idea. A perfect time to get it set up. Fingers crossed they get some residents.
Prepped the veggies for dinner, then it was cider o'clock, & The Chase.
