Captain Kirk

No, not from the Enterprise, but rather owner and operator of the 30 foot yacht, Freedom Kirkland, in the winter and a farmer from Alberta in the summer. He was our host today for a snorkel trip organized by our friend Carlos. The seven of us, plus Carlos and Nadia, water-taxied out to his boat and were soon underway to Mazanita Bay, an hour or so south. We snorkeled a while to build up an appetite, had a delicious lunch and then tried a little sailing. The winds were not very strong, so we ghosted along for a couple of hours, enjoying the sunshine and a few cold beverages, Captain Kirk regaled us with stories of his trips up and down the west coast of Mexico, while maintaining a steady hand on the wheel as is evident in this shot. It was an ideal way to spend a day in Mexico.
