Black, white and shades in between

Although this fine quintet are called Black-headed Gulls the summer plumage is more chocolate-brown ..... for most of the year the birds have white heads.

A bitterly cold day so there was no counting steps and eating up the miles ..... just a walk from the car to find a blip and then back to the pet shop to buy a bag of peanuts to keep the birds and my regular squirrel visitor happy.
