Trophy

As it was a grey day, after scarifying the lawn, I started tidying up some boxes.

I came across this trophy which was won at the online show we held for the Scottish Government Gardening and Crafts Club in 2020 and which has now been engraved.

This trophy dates back to 1958 and is awarded to the person who gains the most points in the vegetable, Plant and cut flower categories - but who has never previously won a trophy. An incentive for members to gain points!

The trophy was won by a member in the North East of Scotland who did not want it posted so I am holding on to it meantime.

Just a reminder of some of the things we hope to get back doing later in the year. Whether we can hold an actual show this year we will have to wait and see. But as it is at the end of August the prospects are looking better.
