Son and I headed to see Vikings! at the National Museum of Scotland today.

It is a superb exhibition, with so much to see. I think I'll go back again without the young 'un at some point just to spend more time looking over the intricate jewelry and other objects which I'd like to see again.

He really enjoyed the interactive exhibits and listening to the Nordic sagas, and I loved learning about words like "thrall" which are still in use today. There were lots of examples of words passing through into our everyday language.
