Scarlet

Went on an expedition via the no 36 bus, with Arclight joining en route. We walked through the Dean Gardens - lovely as ever, with lots of birds being very active and noisy. Lots of snowdrops, crocus and some lovely hellebores - even some primroses blooming. But I think our favourite sight was this fungus - neither of us knew what it was, but having looked it up I think it must be a Scarlet elf cup, Sarcoscypha austriaca. Didn't see any elves though.

Afterwards J went off foraging in Stockbridge and I came home and did....some more maths. Mmmmm. Might clean another window tomorrow for variety's sake.
