Another sunny day , from dawn until dusk .
It’s been the perfect day for working in the green gym , warm in the sun but cool enough so as not to overheat .

I painted all the recovered wood with some sort of weatherproofing paint , they are seen here drying in the sun , whilst Dave finished putting up a trellis for our new blackberries. The trellis is also made from some reclaimed wood plus some of the hazel canes we cut earlier. I’ve now planted out the berries plus some lavender, thyme, rosemary and oregano. In the shot , Dave us back to laying the flags , amid what looks like a great mess , however it’s much more cleared and organised than it was and we have a slot booked at the tip for Saturday.

It seems incredibly early but I always miss the moment so I’m trying to be more on top of it this year ( being in lockdown and retired , what excuses are left )
I’m surprised by how quickly the days are lengthening and how signs of spring are bursting through . It makes me realise how much you miss when you work full time . I’m very grateful to have this time .
