Unsettled weather was with us for most of the day, but spectacular cloud formations and light dominated the sky late this afternoon.

The main blip was taken near the Motueka marina looking across the Moutere Estuary towards the Western Ranges. As you can see, a road runs along the top of the embankment providing access between the state highway, the wharf and the local beach.
The extra was taken nearer home. I was leaning over the roadside fence looking towards the hills between Motueka and Golden Bay. The windsock shows a lack of wind and the dry stubble are remains from the annual hay making exercise at the local (rural) airport.
