Phew. Cutting down the tree was the easy part. Clearing, logging and stacking goes on a bit.

I’ve often wondered if the Rovere (quercus pubescens) would burn in a forest fire. Seeing how brightly and hot the brash burnt I’d say the answer is an overwhelming yes when combined with heat, wind and steep slopes.
