Rovere no more

I downed and logged up this oak tree - quercia pubescens- this morning. A new chain on the chainsaw made all the difference. It’s a fast growing and prolifically self-seeding oak. We have plenty more. Felling it opens up one of the less-used but well watered terraces. Took three years to come to the decision and an hour to act it out.
