Bonnington and Lee Pen
A mild day with lots of sunshine. Managed to get out for a walk late afternoon as the light was starting to fade. The hillsides still had the sun on them which was giving a warm glow to the landscape.
This photograph is taken to the south of Peebles, looking from Cademuir Forest eastwards towards Bonnington and the surrounding farms. To the left of the photograph you can see the distinctly shaped hill named Lee Pen (520m) which lies to the edge of Innerleithen. Like many of the hills around Peebles it was an iron age hillfort.
