Wild daffodils
I woke up feeling a lot better today - thank goodness, although it is a very small price to pay to be protected and protect others.
We had a Sainsbury's click and collect to pick up at 12.30. and after that I decided to go for a quick drive along the road through St Leonards forest to see if the wild daffodils were in bloom yet.
This beautiful patch of wild daffodils grow on a very dodgy corner along a thankfully quiet country road (See extra). I love the way they naturally grow in great clouds cascading down the bank with an artistic flourish any gardener would be really proud of creating. I also love the fact that they are small, but perfectly formed with the corolla only slightly darker than the other petals. Not showy, and yet simply stunning en masse like this.
