Blue skies, smiling at me ..
As it was such a beautiful blue day, I decided to go along to Loglands (a local nature reserve/community greenspace) in my capacity as official photographer.
(It sounds much grander than it is - I am the official photographer, because I asked to be!)
The Yorkshire Wildlife trust have been managing Loglands for the last three years and is in the process of handing it over to the local community to manage. Somehow I have ended up on the committee at the heart of the process.
I thought I'd get some photos together for the Loglands Facebook page .. in spite of the fabulous blue sky I didn't have enormous success with the photos .. too much tweaking of settings and too many flighty subjects!
After lunch I decided to go back and have another go - even less successful as some local lads had decided to use the area for cross country motorcycling - not great for bird spotting/photographing!
The most remarkable thing I saw today was a tortoiseshell butterfly! So early! Also quite a few gorgeous little goldcrests.
But the photo I've chosen just seems the most springy of all today's photos!
