Visiting the countryside
A few weeks ago Anna's BFF* moved out of London. Today was the day that has since been counted down to when we would all go and visit her now LDBFF**. Although in many ways they have moved to a new world, in practical terms it is about an hour's drive. So after usual morning of dancing, football, football watching and torture chamber we headed off. And we found all the things you are supposed to leave for - beautiful big house, gigantic garden complete with zip-wire and access to an ancient wood. Lovely to catch up with them all again and a very fine afternoon sampling the delights of country living. Including a trip to the local duck pond over which this hot air balloon was picturesquely positioned.
Back home now for the first in our one genre, one choice each movie nights. Tonight is comedy. Carl is choosing Dr Strangelove (I do suspect he came up with the notion for the double bill film evenings as an excuse to watch it for the gazillionth time) and I am choosing Death at a Funeral (UK version). Taking a bit of a gamble with my choice as I asked the wisdom of the FB crowd but the description of someone's brother in law spitting out his tea with laughter and the need to keep pausing the film for his giggling sold it to me. Of course, he could just have a terrible sense of humour...
