Apricot Flavourcot
Once we got home from the usual trip to the gym and shopping, it was back home for a quick bite to eat and then some time in the garden. Our new fruit tree arrived from T&M midweek and I was keen to get it into the ground before our wee holiday next week.
Apricot Flavourcot is supposed to be hardy enough to thrive in the UK ... we'll see. I have never attempted to grow an Apricot outdoors before, but I'm willing to give it a try after reading that a lady near Newcastle grows it out in the open .... wind, snow and all.
The tree is from Canada and flowers later in the season, after our last frosts. Fingers crossed. It supplements our little orchard of apple, pear, plum, cherry and hazel trees (plus blackberry, gooseberry, blueberry, red and black currants) .... oh, and strawberries!
Got my Euros sorted today :-)
