It’s Official!

Lockdown 3 - Day 52

We were out early this morning as we had to drop Bertie Bus off at the Ford garage for a service, and I followed Alan so I could bring him back.

Once home I did 30 mins on the cross trainer, had a shower and then I had to go to Specsavers to have my eye test. Everything was fine and my prescription hasn’t changed much so I don’t need new glasses which is good as I only wear them for driving and for watching TV. Afterwards I went to Tesco to do a food shop.

When I got home, Alan asked if I’d noticed the ‘For Sale’ board has now got ‘Sold’ on it. I went out to take a photo for my Blip, and a lady was walking past in the field with her dog and said she assumed I was pleased. Our solicitor is still proving slow, but our buyers have received their mortgage offer and have given their solicitor the money for searches, but they’re still awaiting a draft contract from our solicitor! We’ve received our mortgage offer on our new house too and have paid for the searches, so it’s all down to our solicitor now. And the other good news is that Nik, my boss has confirmed that I can continue working for him, remotely, once we move.

I’m just having an hour watching a bit of catch up TV and as soon as Alan’s finished work we’ll head out to pick up Bertie.
