Beavers at work

" Ein Biberbau in Bieberau"
We live in a village called Groß-Bieberau, that would be "Great- Beaver lea" in English. It isn't great at all, but since about 10 years beavers returned after being extinct for 200 years.
We regularly spot traces, but today we chose another unknown path on the other side of the village. It is very close to the village, but the beavers made an impressive dam. The water above is very calm and wide now, as you can see in the extra. It is fascinating.
I'm glad, that they are protected and accepted, too.
