The power of calm

My grandson has a great, happy disposition. He instantly made friends with this little girl at a party we were at and they played quietly together the whole time.

He has his moments, like all children. Earlier in the day, he was getting tired, just before his nap time and he dumped a toy shopping cart full of toy cans and boxes all over the floor. In the most gentle voice, his mom said, "OK , we're going pick all these cans and packages up and put them back in the cart now. I will help you."

He did. And the Cuban missle crisis was avoided without so much as a peep.
