Sturdy crocuses

I was quite concerned about the newly sprouted crocuses after the gale force winds which we had overnight and this morning, strong enough to stop the ferry sailing! However, the crocuses were even stronger because they were still standing straight and upright when I ventured out to check them in the afternoon once the rain stopped.

I had a most enjoyable time today when Lucy, the lovely Shetland Sheepdog, came to stay for a few hours while her humans went on an errand in the south of the island. After Lucy returned home, I made good progress sorting my Dad's slides and while doing so, I came across some very interesting shots taken of events on the island back in the 1970s, nearly 50 years ago!
