WHITE HERON (Kotuku) egretta Alba

We dont see these blokes on the east Coast very often but this one seems to have been visiting about the same time of the year for about the last three years.
I photographed it last year - (and I'll try and find it and make an entry of its date)
One could ask if its the same one - and the evidence points towards it - about the same time - same size- same places of habitat.
they breed on the West Coast of the South Island at Okirito. This is a non-breeding bird as the breeding ones have a blacker beak.
A nice encounter - we always look forward to seeing them here.
