Sally Mair - Loving life

Lucky White Heather

Thinking Day today, special for members of Guiding and Scouting movements. There's a collage of a couple of my previous Thinking Day blips as an extra.
Spotted this white heather in the garden today, it reminded me of my childhood Saturday evening viewing of the White Heather Club with Andy Stewart, Dixie Ingram, Moira Anderson, Robin Hall and Jimmy Macgregor. Dixie Ingram was the big fascination for little girl me as he spun at high speed in his kilt!
I had a day out today, it was really exciting, Lidl, Poundland, Aldi, Morningside and M&S. The latter was my biggest disappointment I treated myself to two bunches of daffodils. When I got home I realised that the two bunches I'd bought were quite short and the flower head sheaths were, what I can only describe as 'crunchy'. I had a closer look and realised that they should have been sold by the 20th February, two days ago. Hmmmph. Hopefully they'll still be pretty when they open.
Monday night is Quiz night, we've less time for Mastermind these days, some of the specialist subjects are very niche. We enjoyed Only Connect and University Challenge though.
Eilidh had her first proper day at school today, she's been there all year but in a very small group, today the rest of the pupils in the first three years invaded her space, she loved it.

Keep safe and well everybody, good to hear that even the one dose of vaccine we've had is enough to reduce the severity of the virus.
