Signs of spring
Dragging a shopping trolley across the supermarket car park it felt almost summery, warm sunshine and no breeze. It was still lovely by the time I made it to Pollok Park and I was delighted to get a better shot of the nuthatch. I always want to say nuthatcher.
The spring will be short lived, heavy rain forecast for tomorrow.
A friend in Argyll sent us a picture of the final demolition of our old house. The new owner had pre COVID plans for an ambitious new build which looks as if might be getting underway. Son #2 thought it was rather sad, I suppose he had lived a larger proportion of his life there than the rest of us. I had always felt the design which incorporated a modern extension was flawed. We loved it there mainly for the location and stunning views out to Islay and Jura, and the new build will make a creative use of the space to maximise the outlook. Good luck to him, just a shame it’s another second home.
