All the seasons

Pilates this morning and then a brisk walk in bitter wind and wet across the park. A break in the winter weather as I approached the more formal beds and I spied this robin and polyanthus looking almost warm in the sun. Signs of spring everywhere with a few daffodils already out and the hawthorn beginning to unfurl. This is the first anniversary of our move here and we are celebrating this evening with duck a white Burgundy followed by homemade fudge of which there is rather a lot.
