My only snowdrop blip
Having spent the morning sorting the rest of the books that are on shelves in the spare bedroom, we decided we should make the most of the sudden afternoon sunshine and go to see the snowdrops at Acorn Bank.
And it was a magical couple of hours wandering through the woodland. Blue sky, sun that actually felt warm, snowdrops covering the ground in a white carpet, daffodils on their way and birds singing. Springlike in every aspect. Even the trees had that sheen that shows they are waking up.
I think I have taken this photo every year for many years - the path through the trees and each side covered in snowdrops as far as the eye can see, the sunshine showing them at their best.
