Wet & Windy

One of the joys of walking, particularly if Mrs S is with me, are the number of people you get to talk to. We had been walking for about forty-five minutes when out of the blue a complete strangers said; “you had your work cut out yesterday in that rain”, wearing the same waterproof coat meant I had been recognised from yesterday’s egg day.
A takeaway coffee on Swanpool Beach and a catch up with a neighbour and a friend out walking together.
We are fortunate to have beaches and countryside right on the doorstep, a later family zoom meeting reinforces that, they have their localities, in towns, unless they drive out a few miles.

The evening was spent watching a televised performance of the musical Miss Saigon. Filmed in 2014 the performance finished with appearances by the original cast from the 1997 show. This was the year that Clare and I saw it at Drury Lane in London, a wedding gift from my brother.

Today’s Blip Foto, one of the streams that brings the fresh water into Swanpool Lake.
