Perfect lunch?

Well yes, I'd say so. Not that I ate it all, mind - this is Antipasto Massimo, in Carluccio's, to be shared by two people. The foccacia is to die for, and the caponata perfectly divine.

And rather jollily, the waiters were all vying with one another to see who could sound the most authentically Italian. As most of them were Glaswegians, they sounded pretty good - the one accent lends itself to convincing mastery of the second.
