A Carpet of Crocuses

Another beautiful day. It was cloudy when I left home but before I'd reached Edinburgh the sky was blue and the sun gently warming the air, so I had a lovely refreshing walk from the bus stop to work.

The snow drops I photographed in the botanical garden last week are now past their best and instead the crocuses have taken the show - their brightly coloured petals shining out from the grass whilst children ran and played under trees and adults strolled more leisurely stopping to look at the flowers and take in the glorious spring weather.
