Great Wall Renovations

This is the ‘start’ picture of the second wall renovation surge. We have pretty much completed the wall that runs along the roadside, except for its tile top. This ‘wall’ runs at 90 degrees from the first and was not dismantled completely when the overgrown bushes (read trees) were cleared. The gap in front of Mrs SoL was, however, an enormous tree which resulted in the wall being well damaged. We find bits of tile and concrete in the fill, so suspect the wall was more a pile of stones created when the house was renovated some 30 years ago. Enthused by our experience of the previous attempt - here we go again to try and tidy it. We will keep you all posted on progress.
