Dismantled

The wall has been taken apart, stone by stone, up to the point where I think we can repair, rather than rebuild, the existing wall. That is a matter of debate right now. It is a long and frustrating job. Mrs SoL has been helping the effort as well, with her expert weeding, enthusiastic stone throwing into the piles and suggestions on how we progress. (See Frenchtoast for supplementary perspective on our efforts).
We are leaving a gap in the wall, so that we can get between it and the fence to cut the laurel that will be planted at some stage. Thats as far as forward planning has got. The bit of new wall on the right was completed quite quickly, but the rest is a slog.
Following diets and limiting alcohol is not easy right now. Duck Confit, pommes rissolés with lardons and onions washed down with a Madiran tonight felt like the right approach to the task.
