Stillness

It has been a most unusual day in terms of weather.  There has been no wind all day, a temperature of 19c or 66f which is cooler for this time of year.  The estuary has looked this still all day.  New Zealand has three cases of the UK Covid-19 variant in the community in Auckland.  It is as if the day is holding it's breath like the population is.  Waiting to find out how it was contracted and has it travelled to more people.  The Government has 'gone hard and early' as they like to say.  Auckland is in Level 3 lockdown which means work from home if you can and no school for three days and only essential businesses are open.and then they look at it again.   The rest of the country is in Level 2 which means stay in your region.  The woman who has the covid works at the airport but not in a front line role so how did she get it is a mystery at present. We will wait out the next two days.
