It was the noise that alerted me to the cicadas in this tree.  Fortunately one was in range of the camera. 
Last night was fun with a variety of conversation and yummy food at a Thai restaurant.  We when came out of the retaurant you couldn't say downtown Richmond was pumping.  Back home at Andrew's and Beverly's it was only him and me who had a gin.  No surprises there.  
A report online said the helicopter in yesterdays blip was called out to a mountain bike accident and the rider was winched up and flown to hospital in Nelson.  I assume there will be fractures if they coudn't walk out.
