Living beads

In November last year I blipped a native plant, the Xanthorrhoea, in the fullness of flowering - a mass of creamy blossom (see today's extra). Today it is so different! The flowers have matured into dark seeds, studding the whole spike and glittering in the sunshine, for all the world like beading on a fabric. Nature certainly does go in for some stunning effects at times!
