Shortie breadie
The name I chose for my sourdough starter.
The day started pretty well we had American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup for breakfast ( made from shortie breadie discard), after breakfast we went for a walk - fine day a bit of a cold wind but nice and dry. (see extra a view across the Yorkshire Wolds)
Back home we made sourdough loaf no 2, not quite as ugly but still not ready for the camera.
As it was Valentine’s Day we got dressed up in our finery and had a lovely meal at the finest restaurant in town (No traveling involved)

Camembert with onion marmalade served on a bed of lettuce
Main Course
Chicken and mushroom skillet in a creamy manchego and mustard sauce
Potato croquettes and broccoli trees
Dessert
Chocolate brownies with cream and icecream
Accompanied by a bottle of Argentinian Malbec.
Feeling rather stuffed.
