Lichen

It's been too cold to venture too far. The bitter wind finds weak spots and jangles nerves. Murray eleven years old, lean, thin-skinned, and fine-furred, once jacketed copes well but after 20 minutes begins to flag in the cold wind.  The blip is of one of the paths which has more lichen than others.
Tomorrow temperatures climb and absurdly one day will reach 11°C!
