A Pacific Tree Frog named Herb

We spent nearly the whole day in the garden.

We fertilized the whole garden, restored and replanted the strawberry planters with 25 new plants.

The coolest thing we did was to plant five asparagus plants. These guys are a big investment. They take three years to really get going and will produce spears for fifteen years. How cool is that! We've not had an asparagus patch for 8 years now.

Yep, no doubt about it. We're putting down roots here in Eugene... Asparagus roots.

We also did a lot of cleaning up around the garden area, lots of little bits of trash, old plant labels and such.

That's how we met Herb.
